The Brisbane Chevra Kadisha (BCK) – Jewish Burial Society attends to the last rites, Tahara (purification) and burial of persons belonging to the Jewish faith in accordance with Jewish laws and customs. We provide comfort and guidance to mourners, assisting with funeral arrangements and procuring tombstones in accordance with local customs and laws.
We are a volunteer-run organisation and it raises funds through membership, donations and bequests for the purpose of maintaining its Chapel and Holocaust Memorial and ongoing maintenance.
We are available 24 hours a day to attend to residents of Brisbane who have passed away, locally and/or overseas and wish to be interred in Brisbane together with persons who pass away in Brisbane and wish to be interred overseas or Inter-State.
We provide and attend to all funeral arrangements and services.

- Prayer books for services including in house of mourning.
- Payment arrangements for Funeral charges where necessary.
- Basic Guidebook for mourners.
- Tombstone direction and guidance.
